César & Petula

On July 12 2022, Avril was at the end of her heat cycle and I was protecting her by separating her from César, leaving him on the balcony with the other girls for a moment. What I did not know at that time is that Petula was also in heat. No blood trail, nothing. Few minutes after, well ... it happened, a long 30 minutes tie, thanks to César. After being in denial for a few weeks, the inevitable was in front of me, Petula was indeed pregnant!

This was an absolutely unplanned litter but I'm expecting something really special from it. Even if the dogs involved are mine, according to 'Flat-data' the 'In line coefficient' is '0', exactly like if I would have used dogs from another kennel. Both dogs have a unique style, very athletic bodies and beautiful eyes. They are very friendly, absolutely humans oriented.

On the morning of September 13, 2022, Petula was shaking and totally relying on me. She had no idea of what was about to happen. Not an ordinary litter, twelve puppies were born (but we lost one), tying Holly's record from the 2013 'Robin Hood' litter. This was an extraordinary litter to raise. Petula did a fntastic job, nursing and playing with all of them until the end.

In summer of 2023, the owner of puppy Winston (CH Kinghtcastle Black Tie Affair) started to show him for conformation and he did well, even beating his father César at the Kars (ON) show. He completed his Canadian Championship in October 2023 at 13 months old, always handled in the show ring by his owner. This is a great accomplishment!
