Adopting a Knightcastle puppy

Since 2005, Knightcastle is committed to breed high quality multi-purpose black flat-coated retriever for obedience, hunting, show, agility and of course for good companion dogs. We also have therapy and search and rescue dogs. With three generations, you can find our dogs across Canada, USA and Bermuda (British oversea territory). The Flat-coated retriever is considered a 'multi-purpose' dog and Knightcastle is always keeping that in mind. We don't breed for one specific goal or purpose. Keep in mind that the flat-coated retriever is an outgoing, optimistic and friendly breed which is demonstrated by enthusiastic tail action. A great companion to have who won't let you down.

Each litter is carefully planned, based on thoughtful consideration of the quality, the pedigree, accomplishments, hip, elbows, patellar (OFA) and eyes (OFA-CERF) clearances of both the Sire and the Dam ( http://www.offa.org/results.html?all=knightcastle ), to produce sound and stylish puppies, with good working abilities and cheerful and outgoing personalities.

Knightcastle has a litter on the ground only from time to time, mainly to fulfill my own requirments, not to accomodate the demands. We are using the 'Bio Sensor' program, developed by the US Army to stimulate new born puppies ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgHoAKL-m_c ). Also, all puppies will be stimulated with duck wings and will go in water (depending on the season) before they leave.

All puppies are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), micro-chipped and are under warranty against severe hip dysplasia, which would prevent it from carrying out a normal life and also any ocular diseases carrying out to blindness until they reach the age of 24 months and are solely sold under contract on CKC non-breeding (for pet companion) or co-ownership agreements (for dogs part of my breeding program and also dogs sold in foreign countries, including USA). No breeding rights are given and the sterilisation of the dog is obligatory. Puppies will leave for their pre-selected homes at around 9 weeks of age to live their new dog 's life. Getting a flat-coated retriever puppy from Knightcastle can take up to two years.

When you become a member of the Knightcastle family, you are encouraged in every way possible to succeed and have a happy life with your new dog.

Important note for people from USA and other countries: Due to problems with international payment, to make sure you can get your puppy in time, from now on I am asking for the full payment, with a certified check or bank draft, at least four weeks before you get your new Knightcastle puppy.

First step to adopt a Knightcastle puppy is to fill the 'MS Word' questionnaire (in English or French).
