Winston & Macha

Macha is the sweet little girl I kept from the 2022 Spring litter, part of our fifth generation. She's a cute one and also really funny, she reminds me a lot about her mother Avril.

She is wonderful with people, affectionate with her family, great with other dogs and highly trainable. She has an innate desire to carry objects in her mouth, the perfect Flat-coated retriever!

Macha completed her Canadian Championship on June 14 2024 mostly from the Bred by Exhibitor class. She is the first dog from our fitfh generation to earn that title.

Macha received all her OFA clearances in July 2024.

As for Winston, he lives in Guelph (ON) with owner Gwen Croser. He comes from the 2022 Showbizz surprise litter and was wearing the burgundy collar. He earned his Canadian Championship on October 23 2023. As a puppy, he was hightly intelligent and a great bird retriever. Winston earned his American Champion title on November 3, 2024 in Fort Wayne (Indiana).

Winston received all his OFA clearances in October 2024. Here are Gwen's comments about her boy Winston:

'When I first met Winston, he came running over and jumped into my arms. For both of us, it was love at first sight. Winston is a very athletic dog and an enthusiastic swimmer, viewing every puddle as a potential swimming pool. He is gentle with children, and many have commented that, given his calm, placid demeanour, he would make a good service animal. Winston is sociable, smart, a natural retriever, and my very loyal and constant companion.

We have had some success in the conformation ring, winning a Best Puppy in Group at his first show and earning his Canadian Champion title that same year. According to Canuckdogs statistics, he was the top-rated flat coated retriever puppy in Canada for 2023. In 2024, we focused on US shows and he earned his American title with a major at a FCRSA supported entry show in Fort Wayne, with all his points coming from the Amateur Owner-Handler class. I will be starting Agility with Winston soon and I expect him to do well as he always gives 110% effort in everything I ask him to do.'
